Fast-rising welterweight contender Rory MacDonald will carry a five-fight win streak into the cage Nov. 16 when he meets hard-hitting Robbie Lawler at UFC 167 in Las Vegas, the promotion announced Tuesday night.
MacDonald improved to 15-1 on July 27 with a unanimous decision over Jake Ellenberger. ESPN.com currently ranks MacDonald fourth among welterweights.
Lawler is 2-0 since returning to UFC, after the promotion purchased Strikeforce. In his most recent fight, on July 27, Lawler knocked out Bobby Voelker in the second round. The outcome pushed Lawler's professional record to 21-9 with one no contest.
