Kristaps Porzingis says he gets advice from Phil Jackson nearly every day. The rookie says Jackson, the Knicks president, "lets Coach [Derek] Fisher do all the work, but then he comes up to guys and tells little details about the offense, something maybe that all the other coaches didn't see. Phil's always there and he sees other things, and he's very helpful for me... It's the best place for me to be right now, alongside with him."

Dudley to make first start for Wizards

Jared Dudley, who scored a game-high 19 points for the team in Friday's loss to the Celtics, will start in the place of Kris Humphries (who has been scoreless in three of his last four starts). Washington hosts Toronto tonight.

Lakers coach Byron Scott on "noise" from fans: "I block it out. The one thing I've always said, and a great old coach told me this a long time ago, 'If you start listening to the fans, you're going to be sitting with them next.' So I don't pay a whole lot of attention to fans because fans are fans. Fans aren't at practice every day. They don't know the preparation. They don't know what goes into it. They just see the end product. So they have no idea. They all have their own opinions. But, yeah, I don't put a lot of stock into it."
