One turning point for this Knicks season was on Jan. 12, when Carmelo Anthony ran into a referee accidentally and sprained his ankle. He's missed five of 15 games since and the Knicks have done 3-12 in that span. They've fired their head coach, in part, because of the struggles in that stretch.

Kidd-Gilchrist tears labrum in shoulder

Hornets F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who has been limited to just seven games this season after surgery on his right shoulder, tore the labrum in the same shoulder in Wednesday's game. He was averaging 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
