The 3-point shot has never been more important in the NBA. So what the Brooklyn Nets did last year to address their 3-point shooting was noteworthy. From opening night to Jan. 31, the Nets shot just 32.6% from beyond the arc (28th in the NBA). But from Feb. 1 to March 28 (the last game Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young played together), the club actually led the NBA in 3-point shooting (40.7%). What changed? One factor was Brooklyn's decision to hire shooting coach David Nurse. Nurse, who started with the club on Jan. 22, worked tirelessly with Brooklyn's young perimeter players and the results showed. In a lost season for the Nets, Nurse was a bright spot.

Per ESPN/Elias: Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson have both played in each of Miami's 8 games during this year's playoffs. The only other pair of Heat rookies who played in 8 or more postseason games in one year is Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem, who played 13 playoff games in 2004.
