Everything's sunny in Miami ... for now

Dwyane Wade's new $20 million deal is a win-win for he and the Heat. But what happens next year, when he'll hit the open market yet again?

Wes Matthews is the anti-Monta

Wesley Matthews is the polar opposite of the player he's replacing in Dallas' starting lineup. And that's a good thing

Sources: Aldridge digesting team pitches

LaMarcus Aldridge currently has no plans to make out-of-town visits and, at this stage, plans to take "a couple of days" to digest all the pitches he's received after meeting with seven teams: He met with the Lakers twice, and the Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Rockets, Raptors and Heat. Broussard: Aldridge on info overload

Free agent LaMarcus Aldridge had a second meeting with the Lakers, but Chris Broussard tells SportsCenter that doesn't matter: "I don't think they can sway him to go to L.A." San Antonio -- and Phoenix -- are still out in front.

LaMarcus Aldridge: Like Mike

Since the advent of the 3-point line (1979-80 season), LaMarcus Aldridge and Michael Jordan are the only players to lead the NBA in 2-point field goal attempts in three consecutive seasons.

Not a great week for catching pop flies in MLB ... but not sure anyone can top Shaq trying to drive the ball off the tee.

Teams have not been given a timetable on DeAndre Jordan's decision but the expectation is he'll decide within 48 hours.

Why Knicks struggle to recruit players

Between the unappetizing prospect of rebuilding and the fact players can get money and stardom elsewhere, Bruce Bowen and Tom Haberstroh aren't surprised with the weakening of New York's allure.

Reports: Wizards want David West

According to league sources, the Wizards are pushing to sign David West, who passed up a $12.2M player option with the Pacers next season to become a free agent. Sources told ESPN's Marc Stein that the Wizards or Spurs are the two teams at the top of West's list.

Lot of people asking me about timetable for DeAndre Jordan decision. He has set no deadline but expected today or tomorrow.

If Nene is really available for nothing/cap space, that's an interesting place for the Mavs to look if DJ returns to Clips.

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine

Concurrent with their pursuit of David West, I'm told Wizards continue to shop Nene but clinging to hope they can trade him into cap space

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine

But San Antonio remains firmly in David West hunt. Hearing Golden State now highly unlikely for D-West; looks like SA or DC are his spots

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine

ESPN sources say Wizards pushing hard to land David West. Would be nice rally to get both Jared Dudley and D-West after losing Paul Pierce

Duncan's salary helping Spurs

How does Tim Duncan's unselfishness help the Spurs? Said Bruce Bowen: "It's because of [Duncan, Ginobili, Parker] not trying to break the bank ... that they've been able to have the luxury of having championships."

Pat Riley: master recruiter

Bruce Bowen was once recruited by Pat Riley. He says Riley's style gives the Heat a chance to lock up LaMarcus Aldridge.
