Camp question
Because of management, this has become a team full of soon-to-be free agents. Head coach Alvin Gentry must get players like Lamar Odom, Michael Olowokandi, Andre Miller and Elton Brand to buy into the team concept while trying to put up the best numbers possible for their upcoming contract negotiations.

Camp project
With their depth, many people felt the Clippers should have made the playoffs last season. Gentry's job could be in trouble if they do not take that next step this year. Olowokandi made huge strides last year, averaging a career-best 11.1 points and 8.8 rebounds a game. Now the rest of the team has to catch up.

FANTASY GAMES KEY CAMPER
Who to watch: The league's leading assist guy goes to a team that surely has more scoring threats, so why aren't we more excited about Andre Miller? Well, Lamar Odom likes the ball, too, and he averaged six assists a game. We might learn in camp how the Clips intend to run the offense, and whether it will make a big difference to Miller's assists or not.
— Eric Karabell

Camp comeback
The supremely talented, diverse Odom continues to struggle with a myriad of injuries. For this team to be its best, he needs to remain healthy -- and out of trouble. Also, Brand recently had surgery to clean up his knee and will miss the start of camp. He needs to recuperate quickly to take some pressure off Olowokandi.

Camp controversy
Olowokandi complained at the end of last season that many players -- read: Jeff McInnis -- were more concerned with their contract than they were with winning. That may only escalate this season as nobody really knows what owner Donald Sterling wants to do with all his talent.
