SIX WARRIORS TAKE ON MAVERICKS

The Warriors used only six players in their win over the Mavericks on Tuesday -- Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis, Mikki Moore, Anthony Morrow and Vladimir Radmanovic started with Anthony Randolph coming off the bench. It was the first time since 1952 that a team used only six players and won. The last team to do it was the Baltimore Bullets on February 10, 1952 in an 82-77 win against the Fort Wayne Pistons, in which they did not use a substitute. Their five ironmen that night were Don Barksdale, Frank Kudelka, Stan Miasek, Dave Minor and Kevin O'Shea. Three Warriors players (Ellis, Morrow and Radmanovic) played all 48 minutes. It was the first time that a team had three players on the floor for an entire game since Dale Ellis, Ervin Johnson and Antonio McDyess did it for the Nuggets on April 17, 1997. The last time the Warriors had three ever-present players was almost exactly 45 years ago, on November 25, 1964, when Wilt Chamberlain, Guy Rodgers and Nate Thurmond didn't take a breather. Chamberlain had 37 points and 32 rebounds in that game; Thurmond had 22 and 21. And somehow, that team had a 5-15 win-loss record after that game.
