Joel Freeland sprains MCL

Portland Trail Blazers center Joel Freeland is expected to miss four to eight weeks after suffering an MCL sprain in his right knee during Tuesday's 98-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A postgame MRI confirmed the injury, the team announced after the game.

The injury happened late in the first quarter when Freeland's knee buckled underneath him, and he had to be helped off the court.
