LOS ANGELES -- It doesn't matter how many times David Stern squares his feet and starts launching his go-to denials.

It doesn't matter how often the NBA's commissioner sternly assures us that the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI soon will reveal findings that show Tim Donaghy, without doubt, is the "only one here that's guilty of criminal activity."

It probably won't even matter now if The Rogue Ref, as Stern famously dubbed him, is proven conclusively to be just what ...

TIM DONAGHY SCANDAL

Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy pled guilty to federal felony conspiracy charges alleging that he passed along inside information on NBA games.

Donaghy also alleges that referees helped alter the outcomes of games during the '02 and '05 postseasons.

He was sentenced to 15 months in prison in July.
