Portland's point guard impresses ROY voters with numbers, durability
The obvious is not always the correct, and that's especially true in sports. In fact, when someone refers to something as a "no-brainer" that's exactly when you should start putting your brain to work. Damian Lillard has been the presumed NBA Rookie of the Year for most of the season, and that assumption became reality on Wednesday when Lillard won the award on a unanimous vote. He became the fourth Portland Trail Blazer to so honored, the last being Brandon Roy in 2006-07.
