Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne

As I said last night, DeAndre had concerns about Clippers roster in future and w/ only 2 years on Blake's deal he didn't want to get stuck

Tom Haberstroh @tomhaberstroh

If Doc Rivers was "offended" I didn't think DeAndre Jordan was Defensive Player of the Year last year, I wonder how he'll take this news.

Baxter Holmes @BaxterHolmes

If DJ indeed signs with Mavs, then Chandler Parsons deserves some compensation for his recruiting efforts this offseason.

DeAndre Jordan has Texas connections

The fact that Jordan was born in Houston and played college ball at Texas A&M is a key reason why he is on the verge of leaving the Clippers to join Dallas according to ESPN's Marc Stein. In a pitch earlier this week, Dallas included taped messages from Jerry Jones and Dez Bryant, playing to Jordan's fandom of the Cowboys.

ESPN sources say DeAndre Jordan is on verge of accepting Mavs' four-year, $80M+ max offer. Dallas firmly in lead and decision likely today

Becky Hammon making NBA history

She'll be the first female head coach in summer league history. How will players react to a female coach? Said Bruce Bowen: "Most of them have never played for one. so it's going to have to be a process." But a plus on Hammon's side? That she has the blessing of Gregg Popovich.

Becky Hammon to coach in summer league

San Antonio's assistant coach will lead the Spurs' Las Vegas team, becoming the first woman to serve as a head coach of a summer league team. Last year, Natalie Nakase was an assistant coach for the Clippers' summer league team. (via San Antonio Express-News)

According to coach Brad Stevens, point guard Phil Pressey has been added to Boston's summer league roster.

Doc made it a point to include Jordan along with Chris and Blake in every photo shoot, program cover, etc. at a time when it made no sense.

Max Kellerman @Max_Kellerman

Robin Lopez is a legit starting center, will be in his prime throughout contract, & will make less than half max salary.

Kings add veteran guard

Free agent Marco Belinelli and the Kings have agreed to a three-year deal worth $19M, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. Belinelli (9.2 PPG) was a bargain at $2.8 million for the Spurs last season.

We hope Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried has time to pick up the new Body Issue coming out July 6 in between his preparations for the NBA exhibition game in South Africa later this summer.

Sources: Aldridge digesting team pitches

LaMarcus Aldridge currently has no plans to make out-of-town visits and, at this stage, plans to take "a couple of days" to digest all the pitches he's received after meeting with seven teams: He met with the Lakers twice, and the Spurs, Suns, Mavs, Rockets, Raptors and Heat. Kevin Pelton @kpelton

I don't see why that wouldn't work cap-wise and it would give the Mavericks about $8-10 million to find a starting PG/add depth.

Kevin Pelton @kpelton

As I look at it, I'm probably understating the possibility of Dallas swapping Ellis for Hibbert and Hibbert for Jordan if Jordan picks them.

Lance Stephenson is at the Clippers' Summer League practices in Orlando. He's getting a head start working with coaches.
