Rose and Gasol have combined for four points on 2 for 12 shooting, but Chicago leads. Not a great sign for the Bucks, who shot 33% in 1H.

Rose doing damage with passes

Derrick Rose (0-7 FG) didn't hit a shot in the first half, but the Bulls' PG dished six assists -- tied for his most in a half this season. Rose's teammates are shooting 6-of-8 for 15 points off his passes.

Halftime: Bulls 39, Bucks 38

Nikola Mirotic scored the final seven points of the half for Chicago to give the Bulls a one-point edge following a low-scoring first half. Derrick Rose was 0-of-7 in his 20 minutes of action. Follow live

Rose is 0-7 from field. As soon as that timeout was called, he ran to ref, grabbed the ball and took a shot from the foul line. He missed.

Little rest for Rose as Bulls struggle

Both defenses are making things incredibly difficult for the opposing offenses, so Chicago is leaning heavily on Derrick Rose. Rose played the entire first quarter before resting for just 4 minutes in the second. Now, he's back on the floor for the Bulls. Follow live

Part of what makes players like Butler and Middleton special is their size -- these are really big wings!

Bucks, Bulls show some fight

A physical, defensive tilt was getting chippy in Chicago, and things boiled over early in the second. John Henson ran into Aaron Brooks, Brooks took exception, and O.J. Mayo and Jimmy Butler got to talking before the refs separated both sides. Follow live

Henson has to use his quickness advantage vs Noah. Can't be trying to bang around down there

Offense is on vacation in Game 2

There are too many stats that tell just how difficult scoring was in the first quarter for the Bucks and Bulls, but here's all you need to know: 11 points is Chicago's worst playoff first quarter ever, yet Milwaukee's lead is just 5. Follow live

Nick Friedell @NickFriedell

Rose played all 12 minutes in the 1st half. He's 0-for-5 from the field and has 2 turnovers so far. 5 rebounds and 3 assists as well.

Russillo @ryenarussillo

If you are talking long term, different answers, but for just this series, probably 5 Bulls before a Buck. That's why didnt understand upset

Russillo @ryenarussillo

If you drafted players just from the Bucks-Bulls rosters, how many Bulls would you take before you took a Buck? (Just talent, not contract)

Defense rules the day early in Chicago

The Bucks had one of the best defenses in the NBA this season, and the Bulls were just outside the top 10 on that end. That tenacity is on full display in Game 2, as the two teams have combined for just 11 points in the first 5 minutes. Follow live
