Payton is preseason NBA top guard

He may not get the national attention that some of the other guards playing in bigger markets get, but Seattle's Gary's Payton is a fan favorite.
ESPN.com users voted Payton will be this season's best guard over the likes of Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd and Vince Carter. That has got to mean something.
