| Associated Press PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns acquired center Chris Dudley and a first-round draft pick next year in a four-team trade Wednesday within which the Suns sent Luc Longley to the New York Knicks. As part of the deal, the Suns also got an undisclosed amount of cash in a move described as being of benefit for the business side as well as on court. Seattle got Patrick Ewing and gave up three picks, New York got four other players and two first-round picks and two in the second round next year, and the Los Angeles Lakers picked up four players. Dudley, picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1987 draft, subsequently played for New York, Portland and New Jersey. Over his 14-year career, he has averaged 4.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.25 blocks in 787 regular season games. He also has participated in playoffs in 10 postseasons. At 6-11 and 260 pounds, "Chris is known about the league for his toughness, his rebounding and his shot-blocking ability, as well as being a great teammate and a true professional," Suns coach Scott Skiles said. "We're happy to have him on board." Bryan Colangelo, Suns president and general manager, said the trade "addresses both business and basketball issues."
