Kobe, Magic, Leslie to team up in All-Star event

NEW YORK -- Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant will
partner with Hall of Famer Magic Johnson and Los Angeles Sparks
center Lisa Leslie, the WNBA's all-time leading scorer, for the
Shooting Stars competition during All-Star Weekend, the NBA
announced Sunday.

The Shooting Stars competition will be held during NBA All-Star
Saturday Night next weekend in Houston. It will feature four
teams -- Los Angeles, Houston, Phoenix and San Antonio -- with
each comprised of an NBA player, a WNBA player and an NBA

The Houston squad features All-Star starter Tracy McGrady,
two-time WNBA MVP and Defensive Player of the Year Sheryl
Swoopes of the Comets and former Rockets star and Hall of Famer
Clyde Drexler.

Phoenix's squad includes All-Star forward Shawn Marion, Mercury
guard Kelly Miller and former All-Star Dan Majerle.

The San Antonio team is comprised of All-Star guard Tony Parker,
Silver Stars forward Kendra Wecker and current NBA broadcaster
Steve Kerr.

All-Star Saturday Night also includes the Slam Dunk contest,
Skills Challenge and Three-Point Shootout.
