Hobbled Bobcats without May against Clippers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --Charlotte Bobcats forward Sean May will
sit out Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a
sore right knee.

May told team officials and trainers that he would not be able
to play after the team's pregame shootaround, coach Bernie
Bickerstaff said.

It's the latest in a string of injuries to hit the Bobcats, who
were without four starters Friday -- May, forward Emeka Okafor, who
has missed 10 games with a strained calf; center Primoz Brezec
(sprained left ankle); and guard Brevin Knight, out for the second
game with a strained groin.

May, who averages 11.9 points and 6.7 rebounds, underwent two
operations on his right knee and played just 23 games during his
rookie season in 2005-06, and sat out 20 games this season before
returning to the Bobcats' lineup on March 10 against Memphis.
