Josh Howard out with sore knee

WASHINGTON -- Washington Wizards swingman Josh Howard was ruled out against New Jersey on Friday night with a sore left knee and will miss at least one more game as a precaution.

Howard left Wednesday's game at Philadelphia because of the knee -- the same one he tore a ligament in last February during a collision in a game against the Chicago Bulls. He had surgery and missed the final 28 games last season and the first 24 this season.

Wizards coach Flip Saunders said that Howard's status would be re-evaluated Monday.
