From Elias: Arron Afflalo had 26 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field and his back-court mate Ty Lawson chipped in with 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting in the Nuggets' victory over the Rockets in Houston on Monday night. It was the first time in Denver's NBA franchise history that each of their starting guards scored 25-or-more points and made at least 60 percent of their field-goal attempts in the same game.

It was the fourth time this season that Lawson and Afflalo both topped the 20-point mark in the same game. The only other starting backcourt pairs with four such games this season are Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton of the Kings and John Wall and Nick Young of the Wizards.

Afflalo Leads Nuggets
From Elias: Arron Afflalo led the Nuggets in points (19) and tied Al Harrington for the rebound (11) lead in Denver's victory over the Bobcats. It's only the second time in his NBA career that Afflalo led his team in both categories in a game. His only other such game came on April 16, 2008 when he came off the bench to lead the Pistons in points (15) and tied Amir Johnson for the team lead in rebounds (8) in an 84-74 win over the Cavaliers.
