Brandan Wright Outscores Some Big, Big Names
From Elias: Friday night's Celtics-Mavericks game featured three of the NBA's top four active scorers, in Kevin Garnett (who ranks second to Kobe Bryant on that list), Dirk Nowitzki and Paul Pierce. Also in uniform for the game were Vince Carter (seventh among active players), Jason Terry (13th), Shawn Marion (15th) and Elton Brand (18th). So who paced all scorers in the Mavericks' 104-94 victory? Brandan Wright, of course! Wright put in 23 points, to earn game scoring honors for only the second time in his 214-game NBA career; while playing for the Warriors back on March 20, 2009, Wright scored a career-high 25 points (the only other 20-point game of his NBA career) to lead all scorers in a victory over the 76ers.
