While no official charges have been filed against Beasley, distractions with the law can often lead to teams limiting a player's role. Beasley, the No. 2 pick in the 2008 NBA draft, is a gifted offensive player, but inconsistency and deficiencies on the defensive end have held him back from realizing his true potential. Slated to begin the year as the starter at small forward -- and only one year removed from averaging 19.2 points per game in Minnesota -- there is certainly some sleeper potential if Beasley can right the ship in Phoenix.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Wed Oct 10"},"playerRater30DAY":-2.9,"playerRater15DAY":-4.4,"positionRank":41}

Phoenix Bench Downs Lakers
From Elias: Four Suns came off the bench to record at least 10 points and five rebounds in Phoenix's 99-76 home win over the Lakers (Luis Scola 14 points, 9 rebounds; Jared Dudley 13/6; Kendall Marshall 11/5; Michael Beasley 10/6). It was the second time this month that four Suns reserves put up double-digit points and 5+ boards. It also happened in a win over the Hawks on March 1. Before that, no NBA team had done that since New Year's Eve 2010, when four Rockets posted 10/5 games off the bench against the Raptors.
