Lakers Extend Streak In Ancestral Home
From Elias: The Lakers won their 22nd straight game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday in Minnesota. Only four other teams in NBA history have won 22 or more straight games against one opponent: 26 by Seattle over Minnesota (1991-97), 25 by Phoenix over Minnesota (1989-95), 24 by the Lakers over Sacramento (1983-88) and 22 by Boston over Buffalo (1970-74). The Timberwolves tied a team record in their loss, by having eight players score in double figures, led by Nikola Pekovic's 19 points. The only other game in team history in which eight Timberwolves players scored at least 10 points was on Jan. 16, 1992, when their high scorer was Gerald Glass, with 16 points.
