FANTASY BASKETBALL
{"playerId":676,"percentChange":0,"averageDraftPosition":72.3,"percentOwned":100,"playerRaterSEASON":7.2,"playerRater7DAY":5.1,"mostRecentNews":{"news":"Matthews ended the season on a high note, notching three of his seven 20-plus point outings over the final six contests of Portland's schedule.","spin":"The Blazers' training camp commenced with Matthews' insertion into the starting five at shooting guard following Brandon Roy's sudden retirement from basketball. Matthews remained a starter until his subpar performance forced a lineup change just before the break, when Nicolas Batum took over as the starting two guard. Matthews continued to play big minutes off the bench, though, and eventually returned to the starting lineup after Gerald Wallace's trade to New Jersey on Mar. 15. From that point forward, Matthews ripped off some of the best basketball of his career, though mostly in losing efforts. Overall, he averaged 13.7 points (on 41.2 percent shooting), 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists while setting career-highs in treys (2.0), steals (1.5), free-throw percentage (86.0), and minutes (33.8). We should point out that Matthews has yet to miss a game in his three-year career, so modest improvements across the board should raise his fantasy value to new heights.","date":"Sun Apr 29"},"fullName":"Wesley Matthews","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Matthews was looking like a major breakout candidate with news of Brandon Roy's retirement, but owners should temper their expectations now that Jamal Crawford is in town. Matthews will still be a breakout candidate and should post quality numbers, but Crawford will steal some of his touches and minutes off the bench.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Fri Dec 16"},"playerRater30DAY":8.9,"playerRater15DAY":9.3,"positionRank":6}
