George Paces Indiana
From Elias: Paul George scored 21 points, shooting 7-for-8 from the field, while adding 10 rebounds and five assists in the Pacers' win over the Hawks. Only two other NBA players had a 20/10/5 (points/rebounds/assists) game with no more than one missed field goal in a playoff win: Bill Russell in Game 2 of the 1965 NBA Finals against the Lakers and Mitch Richmond versus the Jazz in the first round in 1989. Russell, by the way, had 23 points, 25 rebounds and 10 assists in that game. No other player has ever matched all three of those statistical levels in an NBA Finals game.

George Makes 17 Foul Shots In His Triple-double
From Elias: Paul George grabbed headlines with a triple-double in the Pacers' 107-90 victory over the Hawks. It was just the second triple-double by a Pacers player in the team's NBA playoff history; the other was produced by Mark Jackson in Game 5 of a 1998 Eastern Conference Semifinal series¿the clincher for Indiana¿against the Knicks. George had 23 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, with quite an unusual shooting breakdown: he went 3-for-13 from the floor, including 0-for-5 on three-point shots, while making 17-of-18 from the line. George set a record for the lowest field-goal percentage (23.1 percent) of any player who had a playoff triple-double since the NBA introduced the shot clock for the 1954-55 season. The old mark of 25 percent was shared by Lenny Wilkens of the St. Louis Hawks against the Lakers in 1966 and Wes Unseld of the Baltimore Bullets against the Bucks in 1971 (each shot 3-for-12). George also set an NBA playoff-game record for the most free throws made by a player earning a triple-double. The old mark had been held by Oscar Robertson, who shot 16-of-19 from the line while turning in a triple-double for the Cincinnati Royals in a series-clinching overtime win over the Syracuse Nationals in 1963.
