Warriors magic runs out in Game 6

After losing to the San Antonio Spurs 94-82 in Game 6, the Golden State Warriors just couldn't let go. Neither could the fans, most of which were standing well after the final buzzer, possibly waiting for some kind of release.

Ankle injury wearing Curry down

Stephen Curry has run 14.7 miles in live action against the Spurs despite injuring his left ankle in Game 3 and battling through pain in his right ankle, which he sprained in Game 2 against Denver. He's progressively moving less after running 4 miles in Game 1, while playing 58 minutes in the Warriors double overtime loss. Of all players in the series, only Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes have covered more distance in the first 5 games.

Stephen Curry has traveled 14.7 miles in the series, that is equivalent to running up and down the basketball court 413 times (94 foot court, 188 feet up-and-down).

NBA - Changing of the Guard

Game 5 was a far cry from Curry and Thompson's performance in Game 2, which was a road win against the Spurs. In that game, the pair combined for 56 points and 18 rebounds. Last night, however, the duo had just 13 total points, 2 rebounds and were a combined minus-33 when on the floor.
