Tim Duncan scored 31 points in 36 minutes and Speedy Claxton had
12 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds to lead the Spurs over
Milwaukee 107-94 Tuesday night.
"Duncan had a great game and they didn't even go through him
all night," Karl said. "His greatness just comes out as he gets
in the flow of the game.
"I'd say they are my favorite right now. They are unreal when
they have it all going."
Robinson, who plans to retire after this season, was honored at
halftime and after the game for his 13 years with San Antonio. He
scored 10 points.
The Spurs are 31-7 since Jan. 1, and only three games behind the
Dallas Mavericks for the top spot in the Western Conference.
"We have so much work left to do," Robinson said. "We're in
the middle of a battle to catch Dallas. We have a long way to go.
I've been trying so hard not to think about (retiring)."
Duncan was 12-of-16 from the field and 7-for-7 from the
Claxton came off the bench to replace starting point guard Tony
Parker, who left with a sprained right wrist at the end of the
first quarter. The third-year guard finished with career highs in
assists and rebounds.
"You have to mentally prepare yourself because you never know
when someone is going to go down or have a bad game. I wasn't going
for the triple-double," the 5-foot-11 point guard said. "When I
was one assist away and one rebound away, I started to think about
Parker is expected to play against the Houston Rockets.
