Arenas scored 37 points and Hughes had 33 to lead Washington to
a 120-116 overtime victory over Los Angeles on Friday night, the
Wizards' first win on the Lakers' court in almost 12 years.
Bryant had his fourth triple-double of the season and 13th of
his career, with 36 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds. Atkins
added 23 points.
Despite their 13-8 mark, the Wizards earned just their second
victory this season over a team with a winning record.
"We raised the bar higher than probably anyone expected us to
raise it," Washington coach Eddie Jordan said. "It was a terrific

sealed the win with two free throws by Hughes and another by Antawn

1992 at the Forum.
After Bryant tied it at 104 with a pair of free throws with 47
seconds left in regulation, Jamison had a shot go in and out for
the Wizards. Caron Butler missed a jumper for the Lakers, then
Arenas missed one at the buzzer.
Hughes made a layup, and Arenas hit a pair of free throws in the
closing 1:14 of the third quarter to give Washington an 83-79 lead
heading into the fourth.
Jamison finished with 22 points, and Arenas had seven assists
and six rebounds.
Lamar Odom had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles.
The game was close all the way, including 54-54 at halftime.
Both teams wore throwback uniforms, with the Wizards turned
out in orange outfits with black and white trim from the Baltimore
Bullets' 1970-71 season. The Lakers wore baby blue with white trim
