Heat once trailed by 14. They now enter the fourth quarter ahead 65-63 while shooting 57 percent from the field. Dwyane Wade heating up after sluggish start. Meanwhile, Raptors melting down again as DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry shoot a combined 12-for-35 from the field. Miami isn't winning this game as much as it is stepping back and allowing Toronto to shoot itself out of it.

So with Goran Dragic in bloody foul trouble and Dwyane Wade sluggish, iso Joe is the way to go. Johnson has scored 15 points since the start of the second quarter. Heat now within 55-50.

Raptor killer Joe Johnson has nine of his 17 points in the first 3:30 of the third quarter and Miami is within two.

The Goran Dragic cut sounds horrible. Tough way to celebrate his 30th birthday. The Heat are saying he needed a total of 8 stitches to close a gash on his chin after his bottom teeth ripped through his lip. To make matters worse, he just picked up his fourth foul and is on the bench early in the second half.

The Heat cut down their turnovers to just 1 in the second quarter and got a boost from Joe Johnson to close to within 48-41 at the half. Miami has been battered and bruised, with Dwayne Wade taking a hard foul, Hassan Whiteside sustaining a cut on his elbow and Goran Dragic suffering a busted mouth from an inadvertent DeMar DeRozan elbow as Dragic tried to draw a charge.

Raptors 48 Heat 41. Toronto will be kicking itself for not being up more in yet another half. Miami had just one turnover in the second quarter. Kyle Lowry 11 points, four assists. DeMarre Carroll 12 points. Hassan Whiteside 10 points, six rebounds.

Looks like the bulk of the damage was done when Jonas Valanciunas landed on Dwyane Wade's lower left leg. Wade already was dealing with a left knee bruise from Game 1. Wade to the bench.

Terrence Ross has produced eight points off the bench. Hassan Whiteside has been a force inside for Miami, with nine points and five rebounds. Toronto leads 39-29 in the second quarter.
