Carmelo Anthony plans to use the All Star break to rehab his sore left knee. He will have a daily routine in Toronto and will continue that routine in New York. The Knicks have nine days between games and Anthony hopes to significantly relieve the knee soreness in that span.

One turning point for this Knicks season was on Jan. 12, when Carmelo Anthony ran into a referee accidentally and sprained his ankle. He's missed five of 15 games since and the Knicks have done 3-12 in that span. They've fired their head coach, in part, because of the struggles in that stretch.

Kidd-Gilchrist tears labrum in shoulder

Hornets F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who has been limited to just seven games this season after surgery on his right shoulder, tore the labrum in the same shoulder in Wednesday's game. He was averaging 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

Dan Fegan, agent for Dwight Howard, issues statement to ESPN: "I'm not privy to what the Rockets are doing or not doing with respect to Dwight Howard. What I can say, with 100 percent certainty, is that Dwight has not and has never asked the Rockets for a trade. And neither have I."

Report: Rockets may look to deal Howard

According to Yahoo! Sports, the Rockets are contacting teams about potentially working out a trade for Dwight Howard before the Feb. 18 deadline. Howard plans to exercise an opt-out clause this summer to become an unrestricted free agent. The Rockets enter the All-Star break losing three straight and six of their last eight.
