Kevin Durant doesn't want to talk in-depth about his free agency at this USA basketball clinic. But when asked about the Knicks' addition of Derrick Rose, he said, "Derrick Rose is a great player... We'll see after I leave here (about whether he will meet with the Knicks)." KD added "Melo is my friend" when asked about Carmelo Anthony being in his ear.

According to a source the Houston Rockets are looking at the following high-level free agents: Al Horford, Kevin Durant, Hassan Whiteside and Ryan Anderson. The team's search to upgrading the roster will be wide and not just strictly with these four players.

Carmelo Anthony thinks the Derrick Rose trade makes the Knicks a place for top free agents to consider this summer: "As far as (Rose) being healthy and me being healthy coming back into this season, Kristaps having a year under his belt, I think it does make it a destination spot for a lot of people to see the pieces that we have to try to create something."

Carmelo Anthony agreed with Phil Jackson's assessment that Anthony's been 're-invigorated' by the Derrick Rose trade. Anthony said the moved showed him that the club is trying to win now, rather than rebuild.

Ohm Youngmisuk ESPN Staff Writer

Carmelo Anthony was asked if he's "reinvigorated" as Phil Jackson has said. "Phil said I'm reinvigorated?" Anthony asked with a smile and chuckle. "I'm reinvigorated." Anthony does seem genuinely excited about the Derrick Rose trade and recent direction of Knicks but knows there's still more pieces that need to be added.
