It's a three-point party for the Cavs, who buried 10-of-14 treys and are up 43-23. Hawks in serious trouble with under 10 minutes to play in second quarter.

J.R. Smith makes a difficult off-balanced three with 3.9 seconds left and then Paul Millsap banked in a heave from near halfcourt but it did not beat the buzzer. Cavs up 35-20 after first quarter.

The Hawks' defense is having all sorts of problems with the Cavaliers' penetration into paint. That's when Atlanta's defense breaks down, leaving one and sometimes two Cavs open behind the arc. Cleveland made 7-of-its-first-9 three-pointers to take a 30-16 lead.

LeBron James fired a sick one-handed, left-handed pass that was an absolute laser to a cutting Kyrie Irving like it was a slant pass thrown ahead of the receiver. The result was Irving finding Kevin Love for a corner three. Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson, who is in attendance at Game 2 here, may wanna try out LeBron at quarterback.

Atlanta avoiding guarding the corner like they're afraid of Marlo or something. Cavs up 27-16 early.

After taking just one shot and missing it in Game 1, Kyle Korver came out and launched two shots in first two minutes. Jeff Teague is also aggressive early, driving and looking to score.

Raptors G DeMar DeRozan is shooting 37-for-133 in contested shots during the playoffs (27.8 percent) and 16-for-27 on uncontested shots (59.3 percent). To be fair, DeRozan has had to carry more of the offensive load with Kyle Lowry struggling with his shot. Toronto may need to diversify its offense more, but that's probably easier said than done at this stage.

So what exactly does go on at that NBA Replay Center you've been seeing so much of lately?

LeBron the activist vs. LeBron the athlete

LeBron James' outraged response to the horrific shooting of an infant in Cleveland suggested the game's biggest star might become its loudest activist. Then he went silent. Why? Waiting For LeBron

Conspiracy theorists had a field day with Phil Jackson's tweet Wednesday from Sioux City, Iowa. One prevailing theory had Jackson en route to Indianapolis to interview Pacers coach Frank Vogel. Not so, according to Siouxland News. Reporter Chris Neyenhouse said Phil Jackson and his brother, Chuck, stopped in Sioux City en route to Idaho, where Chuck lives. Sorry to disappoint, Knicks fans.

The Miami Heat and Chris Bosh haven't seen eye to eye regarding the approach to his medical condition. But this quote from coach Erik Spoelstra today says it all about how Bosh is locked in with his current role as pseudo assistant and bench hype man during games: "(Bosh) has the reputation that when he says something, guys listen. And it was just what we needed last night (entering OT against Toronto). It was a kick in the a--. It really was."
