Raptors PG Kyle Lowry's effective field goal percentage on uncontested shots (which adjusts for the fact that 3s are worth more than 2s) was 69.4 percent before he had his right elbow drained on March 28 (seventh among 80 guards to take at least 100 such shots). But after, that percentage plummeted to 40 percent (last among 44 players with at least 30 attempts) -- drop-off via ESPN Stats & Information. Perhaps if Lowry gets some points on drives it would open up his confidence to drill long-distance shots again. But shot-blocking C Hassan Whiteside looms in the paint for the Heat.

Phil Jackson has tweeted photos from Sioux Falls, Iowa and Nebraska in the last two days. You don't need me to tell you that Jackson is on vacation at the moment. The interesting thing here is that league sources say that some involved in the Knicks' coaching search have been informed that Phil is away at the moment, meaning the search is on hold. This could be Phil's way of distancing himself from certain candidates, or he could legitimately be taking a break from the coaching search. Either way, it's clear that the Zen Master marches to the beat of his own drum.

Paul Millsap couldn't believe he witnessed the Cavaliers bury 25 three-pointers: "What happened? Not a clue... it's a lot of 3's man. I mean -- I'm speechless... I'm a man who believes anything is possible. And the impossible happened tonight."

LeBron James said the Golden State Warriors not only have changed the way the game is played with their shooting but also because they have multiple players who can do multiple things on the floor. He said he likes having the Cavs be a well-balanced team, likening it to a balanced NFL offense.

Asked if he has ever thought what it would be like to be able to play like J.R. Smith, LeBron James chuckled. "That is almost a trick question right there," James cracked. "What do you mean? That you can shoot any shot that you want?"
