Darryl Dawkins dies at age 58

He was dubbed "Chocolate Thunder" for his backboard-shattering dunks during his 14-year NBA career, mostly with the Sixers and Nets. His family said in a statement that he died of a heart attack. Story

Report: Irving may be out until January

Kyrie Irving may not be ready for opening night for the Cavaliers, and he could be unavailable until January according to a Cleveland Plain Dealer report. Irving is recovering from a fractured left kneecap suffered in the first game of Cleveland's NBA Finals loss to Golden State.
