San Antonio is off to the second-best start in the NBA, thanks in large part to them ranking first in the league in scoring defense, dropping two of three to end a four-game trip. That spells trouble for Chicago as it has shot 37.6 percent in its past three contests. Follow live

The Celtics tried hard to land Justise Winslow on draft night and offered four first-round picks to Charlotte in hopes of snagging him at No. 9. The Hornets passed (to pick Frank Kaminsky) and the Miami Heat swooped up Winslow at 10. Winslow was playfully asked before Mondays Celtics-Heat game how many first-round picks hes worth and, his locker neighbor, Chris Andersen, shouted, Five! as Winslow just smiled. Looks like Boston came up a pick short on its offer.

An ode to Kobe Bryant, in two charts

This season, Bryant has been the worst volume shooter in the NBA. But as bad as this campaign has been, the Lakers star will be remembered as one of the most versatile scoring threats the NBA had ever seen. 2005-06 vs. 2015-16

Kobe Bryant's Top 10 plays

Forget the guy who shot 4-of-20 last night. Black Mamba has more than made up for it over the course of his Hall of Fame career.

Dwight Howard's thoughts on Kobe Bryant

It's no secret Howard and Bryant have a somewhat frosty relationship. So when asked if he had learned anything from his former teammate, Howard laughed and said: "Awww man. We're going to go to the next question." But he also praised Kobe saying "[He's] one of the greatest to play the game."

Durant on Kobe: Media mistreating him

"He's a legend, and all I hear is about how bad he's playing, how bad he's shooting, and it's time for him to hang it up," Kevin Durant said of the coverage Kobe Bryant has received. "You guys treated one of our legends like s---, and I didn't really like it. So hopefully now you can start being nice to him now that he decided to retire after this year." Media 'killing him'

James Harden on Kobe Bryant retiring: "Legend. I grew up watching him. He was my quote, unquote MJ that everybody sees. Just for him to be done for his last go out, its sad, its the end of a dynasty. He had a really good run but it comes to an end, he's a monster, he's a beast."
