76ers F Nerlens Noel told Stephen A. Smith after the Sixers got their first win of the season by beating Kobe Bryant and the Lakers: "We've had a lot of fourth-quarter leads and couldn't capitalize in the end, so it was good to finally get the W under our belt."

Byron on Kobe: "I think he had some shots that were ill-advised." Said 17 3-point attempts is, obviously, too many.

I'm sorry but it was hard to watch Kobe tonight. 4-17 from 3. 1-10 in 2nd half. Lakers went from up 14 late 2nd q to losing to 0-18 Philly.

Don't sleep on LeBrons bounce-pass game

The Philadelphia 76ers snap an 18-game losing streak to open the season and avoid the worst start in NBA history by beating the Los Angeles Lakers, 103-91, at Wells Fargo Center. Kobe Bryant's final game in his hometown started well, as he hit three of his first four shots, but he went ice cold from there, finishing with 20 points on 7 of 26 shots, including 4 of 17 from 3-point range. The Lakers fall to 2-15.

Russell's first NBA slam is a big one

Rookie D'Angelo Russell reminded the 76ers why he went 2nd overall in the draft with this huge dunk over Nerlens Noel.

T.J. McConnell breaks Lou Williams ankles

If there was one play that summed up the previously-winless 76ers beating the Lakers, it was probably this crossover that made Lou Williams look like he was playing Twister.

Russell puts English on no-look pass

We're not sure how D'Angelo Russell weaved this pass through the 76ers defense to get the ball to Julius Randle, but we're definitely impressed.
