Tristan Thompson jerseys are being sold at The Q Cavaliers team shop after all. The Cavs initially believed using Thompson's likeness or selling his merchandise was against league rules, but after further legal consultation and rule interpretation, decided it would be OK to continue to stick his jerseys, according to a Cavs spokesman. However, with 45 minutes to go before the Cavs' intrasquad scrimmage tips off, I asked a team shop employee if any Thompson jerseys had been sold tonight. "No," he said.

Andrea Bargnani, suffering from hamstring tightness, underwent a precautionary MRI, which was negative. Bargnani will skip Brooklyn's matchup with Fenerbahce Ulker tonight and his $50 million teammate, Thaddeus Young, will join him on the bench to start the game. Young, the projected regular-season starter, will play off the bench as coach Lionel Hollins gets a better look at other lineups.

Added Carlisle: "I can’t help but feel great for the Rangers, but Jeff Bannister’s story is a very compelling one. He came in as a guy who was given an opportunity and Jon Daniels had a hunch about him. They had the tough start early, but Jeff’s a guy that’s an energetic believer. He kept those guys going. It’s been remarkable, and they have a real chance."
