Rockets officially signed veteran guard Pablo Prigioni on Friday. Prigioni will become the backup point guard to Patrick Beverley. This is Prigoni's second stint with the Rockets. He played with the Rockets two seasons ago helping them to the West Finals.

Amar'e Stoudemire will discuss ending his NBA career and the next chapter in his life at a press conference on Monday at Madison Square Garden. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Stoudemire works for the Knicks in some capacity. Stoudemire had a great relationship with Knicks owner James Dolan.

A federal judge has denied Derrick Rose's motion to have the civil sexual assault case against him dismissed, and the trial is scheduled to start Oct. 4 in Los Angeles, presumably in the middle of Rose's first training camp with the New York Knicks.
