LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined with back spasms against Lakers

The San Antonio Spurs held out forward LaMarcus Aldridge from Friday's 108-96 win over the Los Angeles Lakers because of back spasms.

The club hasn't divulged the severity of Aldridge's injury, but the Spurs replaced him in the starting lineup with veteran David West, who had eight points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes.

Aldridge leads San Antonio in rebounding with 8.9 per game and ranks second in scoring with 15.9 points per game.

Aldridge missed two games earlier in the season with a sprained ankle and another because of back spasms, but he played 22 minutes Thursday against the Phoenix Suns, posting seven points on 3-of-9 shooting.

Aldridge is expected to return to the lineup for Monday's matchup at Golden State.
