Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins has returned to Texas because of the death of his grandfather and will miss the team's next two games, according to reports.

The Thunder will visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night and then the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

Perkins has started all six of the Thunder's games and has averaged 3.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16.6 minutes.

Oklahoma City (5-1) has won four straight, but will miss Perkins' interior presence against the Clippers' athletic duo of Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
