Ryan Anderson out vs. Hornets

Associated Press

NEW ORLEANS -- Orlando starting forward Ryan Anderson is sitting out Friday night's game in New Orleans because of a sore left calf.

Magic coach Stan Van Gundy says Anderson was kicked in the calf during Thursday night's loss to the Boston Celtics and remained sore a day later.

Van Gundy says the team hopes Anderson will be ready for Sunday's game against Indiana.

Anderson is second on the Magic in average scoring at 16.6, along with 6.7 rebounds per game.
