San Antonio Spurs and Western Conference All-Stars coach Gregg Popovich heaped some more praise on Celtics coach Brad Stevens on Friday in Toronto. "First of all, truth be known, Brad looks like he's 18, and Butler basketball has been fantastic. Before he was even in the NBA, I would watch tapes of their games and look at some of the things that he did. So among basketball people, it was common knowledge that he was a heck of a coach."

Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas said the realization that he's an All-Star sunk in on Thursday night in Toronto when he happened to cross paths with Hall of Fame finalist Allen Iverson. "I was at an event [Thursday] night and [Allen Iverson] and his close friend came up to me. I've met Allen before last summer, but for him, we talked about 10-15 minutes and he just said how much he loves my game and watches almost all my games. For somebody to say that, like him pound-for-pound the best player ever that was unbelievable. He wasn't just saying it. Like he was saying the moves I was doing and me being left-handed and things like that. So I knew it was really genuine."
