Butler, on if he'll have a good luck charm at the Draft Lottery tonight: "I'm debating if I'm bringing something up there. I heard you should bring something. I don't want mine to be too obnoxious."

Butler, on if he feels the organization sending him to the Draft Lottery is a good faith play towards wanting to keep him long term: "Some people may look at it as that," Butler said. "I can't say that I do or that I don't."

Butler on representing the Bulls at the Draft Lottery: "It means a lot. I think it's just me going to see what it is. I was in New York doing a college visit with my little cousin and we had talked about it a couple weeks ago. It just means that they want me to represent us. I don't think it's too much more than that. I just think it's a good opportunity for 'em."

Caught up with Jimmy Butler for a couple minutes before he represents the Bulls at the Draft Lottery tonight. He is confident he will be a Bull when training camp opens this fall. "Yeah, I think so," Butler told ESPN.com. "I definitely do. I do think that with the year that we did have last season -- it's unacceptable. So you have to then, truth be told, you got to look at everything. I didn't do my job, so truth be told, can I help this team win? That's the question that's brought up. And I can't be mad at that. You can use whatever excuse you want to use, but we didn't make the playoffs. That's all anybody sees and that's rightfully so. So do I think I'm going to be here? Yeah, I think so. But that's just me thinking."
