LaMarcus Aldridge writes to Blazers fans

In a letter in the Oregonian, he said, "Dear Rip City, Thank you! Those two words on a page don't begin to express the gratitude I have for the opportunity the entire Trail Blazers organization, my teammates, the media and you fans gave me. ... Please know that I will always hold my time in a Blazers uniform near and dear to my heart."

Aldridge not only one leaving Portland

The Blazers confirmed to The Oregonian that assistant coach Kim Hughes is no longer with the team. The newspaper reported that Hughes was fired for his June 27 comments to an Indiana TV station in which he said LaMarcus Aldridge would not be returning to the team.
