LeBron James on if ATL is an "easier" opponent considering the Cavs' familiarity: "Nothing is easy in the postseason. There's too much work both on the floor and mentally that you have to do to prepare for a playoff series understanding how the competition is going to be at its highest level. Easy should never even come into play when you're talking about playoff basketball or basketball in general at this level."

Kyle Korver went out w/ a broken leg in G2 of the ECF last year. This year he's coming off a strong 1st Rd (12.2p on 45 pct from 3). Ty Lue has noticed: "We know he's dangerous ... In the last series, his plus/minus when he's on the floor was +78. When he was off the floor, they were -24, so we know how important he is"

I think we reached our peak kind of early and right now, we are still growing defensively and getting a lot better. I think the offense will catch up with it."

Tyronn Lue supported David Blatt's candidacy for the New York Knicks: "He definitely deserves another chance. I thought Coach Blatt did a great and phenomenal job here. He taught me a lot. Just being friends with him and getting a chance to understand him was great for me. I know a lot of guys around here, we talked about it the other day, they miss him and his presence. I would just like to just keep, stay in contact with him. Hopefully, he gets another job in this league because he deserves it."

Stats & Info

What could Blatt do with the Knicks?

No coach in NBA history had been dismissed in-season with a higher winning percentage than David Blatt's .732. No wonder Knicks president Phil Jackson is looking to cash in on the ex-Cavs coach.

Kyrie Irving, whose playoffs were cut short last year because of his knee, on the injuries sustained by Chris Paul and Stephen Curry: "It just sucks, it absolutely sucks. To be out for the series or out for a number of weeks, especially at the highest level of intensity of basketball that we've played basically in our whole entire lives is what it all boils down to in the regular season, definitely you've got to empathize with those guys. But at the end of the day they still have other guys in that locker room that have to pick up the pieces and they have figure it out, it's just part of the playoffs."

J.R. Smith tweaked his groin in Game 4 against the Pistons and was held out of practice Wednesday for precautionary reasons. Tyronn Lue says it's "nothing very serious."
