Chalmers: Flagrant 2 over elbow unwarranted

Mario Chalmers says Sasha Vujacic's reaction to contact that drew an ejection for the Grizzlies guard was questionable, as was the flagrant foul 2 called on the play Friday night at New York.

Vince Carter drove in and had a layup blocked by Kristaps Porzingis but was fouled on a fourth-quarter drive on Friday. "He's a long fella," Carter said after the Grizzlies beat the Knicks, 91-85. "I was going to the basket, I remember looking up and couldn't even see the rim& I thought I had a layup and all of the sudden there was no layup there. He is a tall gentleman. Very long arms and he knows how to use them." Would young Vince had dunked on the 7-3 Porzingis? "Young Vince would have tried," Carter said with a smile. "Old Vince would have tried if you give him the right space and opportunity."

As Vince Carter was trying not to run into fans along the baseline after being fouled on Friday, a Knicks fan flopped claiming Carter hit him. Carter and Garden security say the fan cursed at Carter and the fan was ejected. "(Security) said (the fan) said that I slapped him or whatever," Carter said. "How is that possible when I am trying not to (run into people). I just know he cursed at me& It's just weird. I just heard him say what he said, cursing and I was like, what?' Where is this coming from?"
