Dwyane Wade helps force a Game 7

The All-Star guard scored 23 points during the Heat's Game 6 win. Wade scored eight of Miami's 10 points in the final 3:10 against Charlotte.

The Miami Heat are currently listing rookie guard Josh Richardson as questionable with a strained left shoulder for Game 7 Sunday against Charlotte. Richardson suffered the injury in the final seconds of the Heat's Game 6 win in Charlotte on Friday. Richardson, who is averaging 7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 30 minutes during the series, had the shoulder immobilized in ice and a thick bandage immediately after the game. "I really hope I can go; it's Game 7," Richardson told ESPN.com late Friday night. "It's just really sore right now, but I'm going to do everything I can."

Game 7: Win or go home

Two series in the Eastern Conference will go the distance on Sunday. The Hornets couldn't close out the Heat on Friday so they'll have to travel back to South Beach. Meanwhile, Indiana forced a Game 7 back in Toronto.

Get ready for Sunday

Charlotte travels to Miami for Game 7 at 1 p.m. ET, and that's just the appetizer. For the main course, the Trail Blazers begin their series against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. ET. Watch both games on ABC/WatchESPN.

The Hornets list Nicolas Batum, who didn't play in the second half of Game 6 with a left foot strain, as questionable for Sunday's Game 7 in Miami. Spencer Hawes (right knee sprain) is officially out.

The short turnaround for Game 7's start at 1pm Sunday could be a challenge for the veteran-laden Heat. Dwyane Wade, 34, will be playing a fifth game in 9 days against the Hornets. Reminded there's only about a 38-hour turnaround between the end of Game 6 Friday in Charlotte and the start of Game 7 in Miami, Wade could only shake his head in submission. "I could've just left my (ankle) tape on then," he joked after the Game 6 win.

I asked Dwyane Wade in the locker room what he and the Purple Shirt Dude were saying to one another. Wade said the Charlotte fan kept telling him, "You should retire." Wade's response (G-rated version): "Not yet!"

Heat force Game 7 with win over Hornets

Dwyane Wade scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, and the Miami Heat forced their first-round series to a seventh game with a 97-90 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.

Michael Wallace ESPN Staff Writer

Final: Heat 97, Hornets 90. Dwyane Wade scores 10 of his 23 in the fourth quarter, including his first 3-pointers of 2016, to make sure this series will be decided on Miami's turf if not Miami's terms. Game 7 on Sunday.

Dave Tuley ESPN Staff Writer

Heat beat Hornets 97-90 to force a decisive Game 7. The ViewFromVegas is they did it as 2-point road underdogs and +110 on the money line. The game stayed under the betting total of 192.

Justin Verrier ESPN Staff Writer

Dwyane Wade, who hadn't hit a 3 in 2016, drills one and then a shot with Courtney Lee draped all over him to seal a 97-90 win. Hornets get 37 from Kemba Walker, the second-most in Hornets franchise playoff history, but are heading back to Miami for a Game 7 on Sunday.

Another dagger from Dwyane Wade. He's so pumped with anger and adrenaline that he does an extra lap around the timeout huddle and doesn't sit. He's just barking.

Dwyane Wade with his second 3-pointer in clutch time. He told reporters the other day that he CHOOSES not to shoot him, not that he can't. What a time to dust off that weapon. Heat up 93-88.

Kemba Walker up to 37 points on the night, 14 coming in the fourth. Heat up 90-88 with 1:33 left.

That was Dwyane Wade's first 3-pointer of 2016. Meanwhile, Hassan Whiteside fouls out.
