Phoenix lands 4th and 13th picks

The Suns were awarded the No. 4 and No. 13 overall picks for the June NBA draft during Tuesday night's lottery. They went into the lottery with an 11.9 percent chance of picking first (which they've never done) and a 37.8 percent chance of landing in the top three.

Will Suns finally land No. 1 draft pick?

It would be a first. When Phoenix's expansion team finished a league-worst 16-66 in 1968-69, the franchise lost the coin flip with fellow newcomer Milwaukee (27-55). With that went the opportunity to pick Lew Alcindor, who became Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. (ESPN/WatchESPN, 8 p.m. ET) Play the NBA draft lottery

Suns, Bender appear to be likely fit

The Suns have an 11.9 percent chance of landing the first draft pick in Tuesday night's NBA lottery and are most likely to choose fourth.

  • If they pick first, Chad Ford thinks they should take LSU's Ben Simmons.
  • They have a 37.8 percent chance of getting a top-3 pick.
  • If they go at No. 4, their selection should be Dragan Bender of Croatia, according to Ford.
