What panic? LeBron 'very calm' ahead of Game 5

After two straight losses to the Raptors in the East finals, LeBron James says panic isn't a word in his system as the Cavaliers prepare for a pivotal Game 5 in Cleveland on Wednesday night.

Dave McMenamin ESPN Staff Writer

LeBron's mindset for Game 5? "Just a sense of calmness. That's all. Just a very calm moment for myself, personally. I relish this opportunity to be a part of the postseason once again, to be 2-2 on my home floor, so, a sense of calmness. I think they'll follow that."

As ESPN Stats & Info's Ryan Feldman interestingly points out, Raptors G DeMar DeRozan is 18-for-26 from the field when guarded by Cavs' J.R. Smith and 4-for-13 when guarded by LeBron James.

Can Lowry find range on road?

Kyle Lowry and the Raptors return to Cleveland for Game 5 on Wednesday night. ESPN Stats & Info notes his scoring there during the Eastern Conference finals hasn't approached his production at home.

  • Home: 27.5 PPG, 63.6%, 8-15 on 3s
  • Road: 9.0 PPG, 28.6%, 1-15 on 3s
(ESPN/WatchESPN, 8:30 p.m. ET)

One of many Game 5 storylines will be how the Raptors utilize center Jonas Valanciunas, who has missed the last eight games with a sprained right ankle (despite being active for Game 4). Toronto coach Dwane Casey said it would depend on matchups as he doesn't want Valanciunas chasing Channing Frye around the perimeter. Cleveland will go small in spurts with Frye at center.
