The Lakers drop their Summer League finale, 92-88, to the Utah Jazz. Lakers rookie forward and No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft Brandon Ingram scored a game-high 22 points on 9-13 shooting to go along with five rebounds and four assists. The Lakers finished with a 3-2 Summer League record.

The Lakers are warming up for their Summer League finale against the Utah Jazz and Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell isn't out there, meaning he's sitting out to rest. Smart move, considering he'll be involved in USA Basketball starting early next week.

The Los Angeles Lakers suffer their first loss of Las Vegas Summer League after falling 88-80 to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Cavaliers trailed by as much as 19 points before storming back in the second half. The Lakers will conclude Summer League play with a consolation game against the Utah Jazz at 7:30 p.m. PST Friday.

Pat Connaughton drained a deep 3-pointer on the Blazers first possession of double-OT to give Portland a 92-89 win over Utah. The Jazz won the opening tip of the second extra session, but turned it over, opening the door for a Blazers win.

Down 2 with 1.2 seconds left in OT, the Jazz missed a free throw and got a tip-in from Trey Lyles to force the rare double-OT situation in Summer League. By modified rules here, the second OT is sudden death: first team to score wins.

Jazz lose as Trey Lyles goes off

Lyles posted a game-high 28 points but it wasn't enough as Utah fell to Washington 88-73 in summer league action on Saturday. Box score

Jazz forward Trey Lyles just electrified the crowd with a driving one-handed baseline slam. He's today's "clearly too good for Summer League" player, looking like he's on another level from the rest of the players on the court.
