Opened in 1999, the $180 million Pepsi Center -- "The Can" to locals -- is home to the Nuggets, the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and the National Lacrosse League's Colorado Mammoth. Various basketball and hockey players are depicted in action poses on a suspended sculpture in the arena's atriums. Views of the Rocky Mountains are seen from the large windows in the concourses. The total weight of the basketball floor is 41,625 pounds, according to the arena website, and is configured with 233 pieces. Pepsi Center has hosted numerous NCAA basketball events and the 2008 NCAA Frozen Four hockey championship, the 2005 NBA All-Star Game and was the site of the 2008 Democratic National Convention. A 75-minute tour is available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from September through May, and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays June through August.

Children under the age of 3 are allowed to sit in a parent's lap at no charge.
Outside alcohol, bottles, cans, outside food, outside beverages, weapons, laser pointers, hard-case containers, projectiles, noisemakers, illegal drugs, chemicals, animals, fireworks, large bags, skateboards, roller skates, ice skates and roller shoes are prohibited. There is no re-entry at the Pepsi Center, but those wanting to smoke can get their hand stamped in order to return after smoking outside. Personal cameras are allowed, but professional cameras are not. The Pepsi Center has 298 wheelchair accessible seating locations with companion seating.

From the north, take I-25 south to the Speer Boulevard exit. Turn left on Speer Boulevard, then right at the second stop light on Chopper Circle.
From the south, take I-25 north to the Auraria Parkway exit, travel Auraria Parkway to Seventh Street and turn left.
From downtown Denver, take Speer Boulevard to Auraria Parkway and go west. Turn right on Seventh Street.
There are several parking options at the Pepsi Center. Camry Lot is a VIP parking lot and all vehicles there have a VIP parking pass. Prius, Tundra and Tacoma lots are for the general public. Rav4 lot is premier parking, but available to the general public. Valet parking (Highlander lot) also is available to the general public. Parking for guests with special needs are in the Camry, Rav4 and Tundra lots.
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers public bus and light rail service. An RTD bus stop is located adjacent to the Pepsi Center at Ninth Street and Auraria Parkway, while an RTD Light Rail station is located northwest of the main Pepsi Center entrance, as well.
