LeBron could have put on the blinders on with Wade on the shelf, but instead he relished in his role as Heat facilitator again on Saturday night. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but Zach Randolph stuffed him on a runner late in the fourth that turned the game.
After falling hard on his left wrist in a collision with Sherron Collins in Friday night's game, Wade got the night off and is considered day-to-day after X-rays came back negative.
Although Bosh notched his third double-double of the season, he vanished in the fourth quarter when the Heat needed him most. The Heat needed more from him with Wade on the shelf, but he did little to stop Zach Randolph, who scored 21 points despite sitting the entire first quarter.
While Jerry Stackhouse got the start at the 2, it was Eddie House who rescued the Heat in Wade's absence, nailing shot after shot on the perimeter. Juwan Howard was also called in for an emergency role, as Udonis Haslem left the game after suffering a foot injury in the third quarter.
Zach Randolph and O.J. Mayo didn't help the cause after showing up late to the shootaround and sitting the first quarter, but the Grizzlies jumped out early and hung on for the win on Rudy Gay's winning basket. Credit Randolph for abusing Bosh in the post in the second half.
